Day 1,397 of the Adventure


I have not spent much time just sitting here on the back deck enjoying the mornings lately. The early morning hours are the only tolerable ones for working outside. After that, it's time to find things to do inside if at all possible. This morning was different. The roof over the summer kitchen is done and the next step in the house construction can wait a day. I know, that doesn't square up with our reputation but sometimes it needs to! At least every now and then. So, this morning, I watched the sun come up from the vantage point of the back deck rather than the roof. Coffee and a Bagel with Jalapeno Cream Cheese close at hand. I've discovered that when I'm not making a lot of noise around here, it's pretty quiet. I should probably do that more often.......... The quiet part!
