So it's Thursday night and I'm really too tired to do this but perseverance will need to prevail. Today was another day of not so much resort stuff. HOWEVER, if you count the things going on at the treehouses, then there is some cool things happening. The treehouse that will resemble an old mill. (complete with 10' tall waterwheel) is really getting going. It will have two bedrooms with king beds and a large hot tub on the back deck when complete. One funny story about this one is that four years ago, we ran across a HUGE gable end Picture Window for a really good price. We bought it and have had it stored for all this time. Because of it's shape we basically had to design a cabin around the window. Well...….. This is the one!
The walkway in the picture is only temporary. Randy, our treehouse master, insisted on no more cable bridges during the construction phase. He said we can build as many cable bridges as we want to after he's done hauling all of the lumber and materials out to the cabins. So, the final approach to this treehouse will be more interesting than it is now, but gotta keep the builder happy!
I guess there is one more "resort" related piece of business from today. We were working within about 3 mile of our coffee roaster and stopped by for some new flavors. This one is fantastic and will become a regular here at the resorts. "Highlander Grogg" is a coffee with a Butterscotch and Rum flavor. We routinely ship coffee and have sent it as far as 852 miles away. (That's the record so far) SO..... if you want to give any of our blends, roasts or flavors a try, just call me at 417-234-4394. We can hook you up!
If you want to remain in the loop on the things going on at the Resorts, you can subscribe to our updates. (we do occasionally run a special to the subscriber list, so it's worth that all by itself!)
I think it's time to go sit in front of the fireplace and fall asleep in the chair.
