Day 21 - 344 Days to go
39 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Chocolate Mintcicles (Just Because)
Tomorrow, we will be listing our Cross Timbers Cabins property for sale with a Commercial Realtor. I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, Cross Timbers is where our "Grown Up" Resort Adventure began. Our Kid Adventure began decades ago. Actually as weird as this sounds, at 58 years old, my Resort Adventure began over a half century ago! I wrote about it in a short article titled "Tombstones and Pine Cabins". I'll miss the excitement of the first day we took possession of our little cabins by the lake. I'll miss the creative energy that poured out as we began renovations with no "traditional" boundaries to restrict us. I'll miss the excitement of seeing the first look on the faces of guests when they marvel at the unique design and woodworking that we used. But, in a way, I still get all of those things as we continue to expand.
Our first cabin experience was probably a bit of a risk if you consider it as a business choice. As it turned out, even though we had no intention of it being a business, it certainly turned in to one. We hope that whether a new owner uses it as a business or for personal use, that they enjoy it as much as we have.
We have now dropped to less than 40 days until March first. I can feel Springtime coming quickly. Maybe not in the weather outside, but the calendar countdown it's moving right along. SO, even though the day has just begun, I am posting the adventure early. We are off to talk to a potential buyer for Cross Timbers.
