Day 60 - 305 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)
Today is the first day of March and my 90 day countdown until Spring is OVER! Ironically, We are supposed to get the coldest night of the entire season on Sunday and possibly even snow, which we haven't had any measurable snow all season. The good news is that it is only supposed to last a few days and then start warming back up. So much for my positive spin on March 1 weather! LOL
The Last Resort Project:
It's mostly been a Last Resort kind of day today. I've been adding more knotty pine wall paneling to the kitchen and added a little more flooring where the new cabinets will be going in. I've been enjoying the renovation process more than I expected. The house is a three bedroom, two bath house that was the owners living quarters back in the "Hospitality Hill" days. We've decided to leave it empty when the upgrades are done so that it could be an owners quarters once again if needed.
I had the opportunity to share the vision for the property today with a guy from around town. I think he could see what I was describing. He along with a few others have mentioned the idea of turning one of the cabins into an art gallery for local artists. We'll see if that develops at all. I suppose it would depend on how many were interested in seeing something like that happen.
I'm hoping to get a lot of the interior work done while it's still too cold to mess around outside. The outside stuff is what I'm excited about.
