Day 72 - 293 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (Guatemala Decaf) If you need that sort of thing
A couple more good signs of Spring arrived today. I caught my first sighting of White Pelicans on the lake. There were only a couple of them, but once they arrive as a flock, there can be anywhere from 200-300 or as many as over a thousand of them here at once. The Cormorants are here as well. Quite a few of them already. The other sign of Spring is Minnows in the bait cooler. Yes, the time has come to make sure we have minnows for the early Crappie fishing which is pretty good on the lake already but will be moving into the shallows very soon. (I'm sure there will be pictures when that happens)
The Last Resort Project:
It was slow going getting to The Last Resort today. Between appointments, tackle and minnow deliveries and rain...… it was well into the afternoon before we lifted the latch there.

“Setting out is always a leap of faith, a risk in the deepest sense of the term, and yet an adventure too. The familiar and the habitual are so falsely reassuring, and most of us make our homes there permanently. The new is always by definition unfamiliar and untested, so God, life, destiny, suffering have to give us a push--usually a big one--or we will not go.”
