Here I am, playing catch up again today. Filing my "Adventure Report" two days late. With our house sale closing in on us, the pace to finish up the fix-it list and get everything moved is getting a little frantic. We will get it done, but there's been little time for such things as sitting at the computer except for the most necessary stuff. We are, however, beginning to see a pretty regular flow of customers through the tackle shop now. One of my favorite routines is to give away soft plastic baits to the kids that show up. The one thing they all have in common is that they are all "Just The Right Age" to get a free fishing bait.
With my countdown until March 1 long gone and in the past, we are seeing now why my unofficial start to Spring is when it is. We expected another little cold snap (below freezing coming up Friday night) but it will be over within a few hours of when it starts. The WIND was crazy though. I will be spending a day on the dock getting parts of it straightened back out. We had an anchor bolt break and one of the guide posts that keeps everything straight got bent over. Not sure how I'm going to deal with that yet. We'll figure it out. Can't be that complicated!
