Day 77 - 288 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Highlander Grogg (I guess this should have been yesterday's flavor)
We've been quite sidetracked from our Resort projects for the past couple of weeks getting things moved from our home of the last 26 years in Ozark. Tomorrow will be the final load of stuff, which is mostly the biggest and heaviest tools. It feels oddly like we are leaving something behind. Even though there's nothing left. I suppose it's the quarter century plus of memories of raising our kids there. It was an awesome chapter of life that is now closing. The next chapter is yet to be seen. We will be settled in at the Rainbow Haven Resort for the time being. I guess that will extend the Resort Adventure to another level for a while.
Shelley took advantage of the occasion by sitting in a tree. (I guess you have to know my wife to appreciate that) Her birthday is in just 3 short days and she will hit a birthday "milestone" that does not reflect her youthful approach to life. (hint: it has a zero in it)
I think she agrees with me that the choice to move into the life of entrepreneurs was a good one. It's given us freedom over our schedules even though it's been a lot of work. It also opened the door for the resort life to us which has been more fun than two adults should be allowed to have. It let us build treehouses, own lots of cabins and boats, make life decisions around what other people enjoy doing for vacation..... Can it get any better than that? I'm not sure that it can.
