April 13 - Resort Adventures

April 13, 2019
Day 103 - 262 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombian Dark French Roast)

The Get-Away has come to an end this morning and we are on the way home to restart the Resort Adventure in earnest. We are bringing back ideas and a refined plan for the future of the Resort properties. The excitement of Spring has taken hold of people and now it's our turn to "kick the tires and light the fires" back home.

The Adventure today consist of dodging tornadoes through Louisiana and Mississippi. Everyone kept calling to see if we were okay. I didn't realize until later how severe the storms were. We drove in epic rainfall for hours, but it finally tapered off and we made it home safely.

By the time we got back, the hints of Spring had turned into much more. The trees on the far bluff have now sprung to the point where the pictures would pass for Spring or Summer. It was 39 degrees when we got home but the promise of 80's is only a couple days out.
