Day 112 - 253 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)
The day was a sunny 85 degree day today and we took full advantage of the "Paint Drying" weather to get more of the pool equipment area built and painted. One of the local residents stopped by at see what we were doing and offered up several suggestions on what it was. After he exhausted his thoughts on it, I simply asked, "Do you want to know what the purpose of this structure is?" Of course he did. I told him; "It has no purpose whatsoever!" The reality of it is that after we painted the pool wall last year, we thought more color would be even better. The trouble was...….. There was nothing else to paint. SO..... We built a ramshackle little shack over the pool equipment and painted it! It's not quite done and will continue to get new color over the old faded brown paint, but will almost certainly improve the looks and festive atmosphere around the pool at Rainbow Haven Resort.
The other news is that if we can avoid the rain tomorrow, the pool itself will start getting it's Springtime Cleaning. It's been treated for the "Off Season Algae" which happens every year. The tree frogs that had moved in earlier decide they didn't like the taste of chlorine so they've all moved on to happier places.

The Last Resort Project: The pool shack has taken priority today, we'll see what happens tomorrow.
