Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)
Week seventeen ended at the Resorts on a cool but sunny day. We are closing in on the end of April and getting ready for the season to begin in earnest. While the traffic at the lake was slow and steady all day, we did have boats out and guests coming and going.
I had some time to sit on the deck and reflect on the whole "Resort Adventure". There are days when the work load is crazy and then days like today when it's just steady enough to require being here. On those days, I can get odds and ends done as long as I don't wander too far away. I suppose the biggest benefit, at least to me, is that as I begin to look to tomorrow, I know I'll be hanging out at the lake, answering the occasional phone call, getting a tackle shop order together, moving the pool a step closer to being ready for use. And it will be Monday. Which is not a bad way to spend a Monday!
