May 27 - Resort Adventures

May 27, 2019
Day 147 - 218 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Highlander Grogg (Butterscotch/Rum flavored)

The Memorial Day Holiday is here but coming to a close. All of the long distance guests have left for the long drive home. We mostly take care of people needing boat rentals, boat gas and tackle on the final day of a long holiday and that is what keeps us occupied today. The weather is beautiful but a bit windy. Still plenty of boats went out of the marina today. It feels like I should be able to squeeze in a nap but it never works out. Just about the time I start to fall asleep, the phone rings from the dock or the tackle shop. I've learned on holidays...……. Plan on being available all day.

Joe seems to be working himself into the Adventure pretty regularly. This afternoon, when things were beginning to die down, he came roaring by the dock on a jet ski. This is something you don't see all that often on our lake since it's as cold as it is.

Memorial Day has come and gone, and now we get ready for SUMMER!

The Last Resort Project: Tomorrow it will begin to move forward again.
