Day 148 - 217 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Co0lombia/Costa Rica blend)
Tuesday hit us with an extremely quiet start. I thought I might be able to reflect a bit upon the year so far and the beginning of the season at the resorts. I was busy...(HA...….. "busy") moving some boats around and then it hit me...….. We have two different people wanting to move into cabins at the "Last Resort" by the weekend. That's only FOUR DAYS AWAY! And there's still a lot of work left. I thought I might coax out Brad and Jared a little early so I offered to buy them a coffee at the coffee shop. By the time they responded to my text, I was already three more stops down the road. I told Dean to just give them a coffee when (and if) they showed up and be back to pay for it later.
The Last Resort Project:
We did connect up by mid morning and they began getting things in Cabin 4 ready for repairs and a few upgrades. The great thing about Brad and Jared is that they haven't decided to get old yet. (My biggest mistake) They can still grab on to big clunky things and toss them around like they aren't hindered by bad knees, bad shoulders, sore feet, bad eyesight and all that other stuff that gets in the way of productivity. They act like they like it here around the lake and the cabins (and the fishing) so I'll be glad to accommodate them and try to make their experience here interesting. Hopefully, some of it will include some boat and lake time for them. Since Cap'n Ray needed to move up to St. Louis (or there-about) I may need to dub these two guys my new Captains. If I can actually get them on a boat!
