Day 124 - 241 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra blend)
As I sat at my desk in the tackle shop this morning, I happened to notice one of my "door signs" off to the side of the computer. My door signs are a collection of notices of where I am if I'm not where I should be, right in the tackle shop. They range from "In The Back Working" to "At the Dock" to "At The Pool" to "Picking Up Supplies to "Be Back at ______" (whatever time I figure I'll be back) However, this particular sign was one I used when we were getting things started for the Christmas Island. It said "On The Fishing Island".
On the Fishing Island..... The more I looked at it, the more I thought, I need to use that sign way more often than I do! After all, it's right there a stone's throw away from my office and it's one of the many reasons people travel to Rockaway Beach. They can fish for trout right from the shore.
I should spend more time on the Island!

The Last Resort Project: Rental boats on the lake today prevented any trips to The Last Resort. (Sounds legitimate doesn't it?)
