Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek
I've tried my best to keep myself out of the "Resort Loop" today. It's mostly worked although I have got a few calls and messages. The good news is that everything seems to be going along fine today with only a minor glitch or two.
The complexion of the landscape is so different here. I understand why people are tempted to move here. Warm weather, ocean, palm trees..... What's not to love. My biggest temptation is to resist finding a realtor and looking for some vacation property. The kids were sending me resort listings last fall but coastal resorts aren't cheap. As much fun as it is, I think I'm pretty well committed to the Ozarks for now. The picture is from a place about two blocks from where we are staying. It's looking to the east and was taken just after sunrise.
