Day 225 - 140 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Colombia/Costa Rica blend)
I got a text this morning from Brad up at The Last Resort that asked "How we lookin'?" I responded back "I'm lookin' pretty good out of my left eye." referring to my hornet sting over my right eye that I got yesterday. I'm not sure that's what he was talking about. Me and Red Hornets are going to be at war for a while!
So on to bigger and better things. For the first time since early in the season, we have no guests scheduled for two whole days at our Rainbow Haven Resort. This means making some deck repairs and possibly even some painting. (Definitely going to be doing some swimming in the pool) I'm amazed that for however ready I am to get the season going in the Spring. I'm almost just as ready for a few slow days by mid August.
Shelley and I took a ride to get some camp design inspiration last night and we swung by the Last Resort on the way home and found everyone outside cooking on a fire. It was dark, the moon was full and we got a cool picture of what I'm Calling "Moonshine #5". Then I went home and jumped in the Swimming Pool at 9:30 at night...….. It was Good!
