Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Colombia/Costa Rica)
We got a visit from the local building inspector today. Diablo came by to make sure we were doing things right. Don't ask me how he got on the roof. Nevertheless, there he was. The Boys, (Brad and Jared) and I mostly spent more time swatting and spraying red wasps than we did actually getting any work done. Jared tried bribing me with coffee. I tried bribing both of them with Biscuits and Gravy over who would go on the roof. Before it was all over, we all ended up there at one point or another. Cap'n Ray came by and we thought he was there to help but he only stood there and laughed at us.
I am actually having a lot of fun with this group around the "Last Resort". They sort of fit my idea of what community looks like. A little work, a little fun, throw in some vision and ambition. A little barbecue sauce when the grill is fired up.
Yep, My kind of people!
And, it looks like we will be gaining another one or two "Tribe Members" very soon.
I still can't get over Diablo on the roof. I'm sure Brad must have had something to do with it!
