Day 242 - 123 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Colombia/Sumatra blend)
I was really hoping I would have more time today to get ready for the Labor Day weekend. But that didn't work out. I suppose everyone is just getting excited to get started on the last big Holiday weekend of the year. Some of our guests began showing up by late morning and that was no problem. Mostly it was just a steady stream of people in and out of the tackle shop along with the constant phone calls wanting to make last minute reservations for rooms and boats. (That never works...….. plan early for a holiday weekend!)
So we take a deep breath and prepare for the chaos that will begin tomorrow!

The Last Resort Project:
With all of the work going on at The Last Resort, we've managed to drag tools and materials all over the place up there and I got a message today that a potential buyer wanted to look at the property today. I sent a message to the boys to clean it up. I think I detected a bit of dismay from them because it was probably going to be a "most of the day" kind of job. On a bright note, while they were working there today, a passerby stopped and complimented them on how much nicer things are looking up there. The boys plus Karli were scrambling around trying to get the construction look cleaned up before the prospects arrived!
