Day 285 - 80 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombian Dark French Roast)
Our flood clean up continued today mostly because we were in a "clean up" mode that was spilling over from the laundry room clean up. Shelley decided it was time to clean our basement as well where some ground water had made it's way in. I never did hear the exact amount of rain but I did hear unofficial reports of around eight inches in the area. I believe it, there were roads in the area that got washed out and that almost never happens. Regardless of the storm, by today the sun was out, temperatures were mild and fishermen hit the water again like nothing had ever happened
When I refer to the "Resort Adventure", this sort of thing is simple one part of it. While high water does disrupt things, we are not really susceptible to much in the way of actual damage. I remember one of the floods we experienced back in 2017 while Craig was still here. That one was a couple days in duration and more clean up was required. Even through all of that, Craig and I made a fun time of it. I still remember him taking a mop out into three feet of water and acting like he was trying to mop it up as fast as it was coming in!
It's all a matter of perspective! An Adventure Perspective!
