Day 291 - 74 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)
The final scramble to get things done before our annual Fall Escape was today. This included moving tools, getting critical bills paid, running to the stores for last minute items and triple checking the schedules. It never fails that I am packing my bags at about 11pm the night before leaving. Today was no exception. The resorts are just slightly busy going into this weekend. That always seems to change the closer it gets. I think people keep watching the weather to see how it's going to be before committing to travel. This week, I'll just have to wait until we return to see how things went.
My sister Robin arrived late in the day to assume command over the place. We covered all the details but she's done this before so mainly it was a "Thanks for taking over...… Have fun...…. Bye!" She and Bob have watched the place five or six times and I think they feel like it's a get-away for them as well. I certainly hope so. This time of year is slow enough that I think that's the case anyway. Every now and then, they'll head out onto the high seas with us, (see the picture) but this time they stayed behind and carved out a few days of Resort Adventure closer to home!
