Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Dark (Colombia Dark French Roast)
After two days of my game of "Battle-Boats", I have a resort full of fishermen, all of them on the lake in boats that are now behaving themselves. (see the stories from the last two days) Thursday Battle-Boats and Friday Battle-Boats. I really do think they were trying to do me in! But I prevailed.
With the boat issues mostly behind me, beautiful weather, fishermen coming back in with limits of trout, I mostly got to relax today. I guess if there was one negative part of the day it was watching my favorite football team get destroyed. So. Back to the lake life and forget the football mayhem for the rest of the day. I went back out on the deck to sip some coffee and just look at the lake and I think...……. I think I'm seeing the first slight hints of leaf color changes. I can't hardly believe it is because of the cool weather because we haven't had any yet. It's probably just because it's been very dry and the trees are starting to yellow a bit. It won't be long though before the Fall colors start to hit us. It will be a good time of the year!
