Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Pumpkin Crème Pie (Seasonal Flavor)
It's not completely unheard of to have mid 70's weather in mid November and we are certainly enjoying a bit of Indian Summer today. The biggest problem is that by late tomorrow, we may be seeing snow and teens for temps. The day was beautiful and we spent a good portion of it outside. The Resorts are pretty much ready for whatever Winter can throw at them so we are simply taking care of odds and ends. This includes burning up scraps of wood and lawn debris that has been accumulating. There's no better way to celebrate that than with a nice evening bonfire.
45 weeks have now passed at the resorts since the beginning of the year. A lot has happened here this year. We have not pushed the business as hard this year due to all of the disruptions both planned and unplanned. However, for whatever loss of business that has caused, I'm actually enjoying the down time as it happens this Fall. Much of the Resort Adventure occurs in my mind as I simply live life in and around our little cluster of cabins by the lake.
