Day 33 - 332 Days To Go
27 Days Until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: B52 (Kahlua/Irish Cream/Amaretto)
The past week or two has been CRAZY at the resorts. A broken water main topped the list of "Things we did not expect to do before leaving for a "Treasured Times Cruise"! Nevertheless, we spent a couple days not only repairing a water main but also re-plumbing one entire building just to eliminate further issues down the road. BUT..... The important thing is that by 3am on Ground Hog Day. we were on our way to the airport getting ready to fly to Florida for a week aboard Mike and Adreane's newest addition to their growing fleet of leisure cruising vessels.
By noon on February 2, we were looking out our window at the Miami skyline. Now Miami is not my idea of a vacation, but it's a necessary stop to get there. At least long enough to get off the plane and into Mike's Sprinter Once there, our final stop would be Marathon Key. Treasured Times, their 52 ft Vitech Fly-Bridge Motor Yacht is their second motor-yacht and the first with the capacity for over night, multi-day guest charters. With three staterooms (and three 'heads"......bathrooms to us flatlanders) it can handle a crew plus four to six guests. Shelley and I are determined to be their first "cruise guests" and this week is the week.
We mostly lounged around the marina today and ate Seafood Pizza, watched movies onboard ship and generally relaxed. Tomorrow the real adventure begins!
