I'm afraid that with the posting of this picture, we will also be past the point of concealing the name of our next treehouse any longer........ Maybe I'll wait one more day. Meanwhile, the bridge canopy has been installed and will be the focal point of the treehouse entrance. "Followed by Buzzards" is the boat that is flipped upside down to create a covered section of the bridge walkway to the treehouse. It was actually built by a gentleman up near the St Louis area and was used on the water for fishing. (not just for show, like we are using it) It's a traditional Jon Boat meant for river floats and PERFECT for our purpose. The name "Followed by Buzzards" was given to it by it's owner as it seemed like every time they fished in it, Buzzards followed them everywhere they went.
Seems like an ominous sign to me....... But maybe that's just me!
Anyway, the boat will include canopy lights hanging from it. I expect to see minnow bucket lights and maybe a few fishing lanterns. Who knows exactly what all will make it into the old boat. But whatever it is, is going to be spectacular! That's what our builders and decorators specialize in!
