Day 375 of the Adventure

Monday is upon us and the cabin transformation continues this week. It is now just far enough into the Fall that the color in the trees is definitely starting to change. I wondered if I should include the tractor and other background clutter in the picture, but really, it's all about what we are doing here. I'll save the more serene pics for days when we don't have projects to complete.

In my younger days, I would have tackled this project much differently. In fact, it may have already been done by now. With Fall and cooler weather upon us, I should be feeling some urgency, and I do........ to a point. We intended for this experience to be one of the merits of a Do-It-Yourself journey. One designed to demonstrate that a "Back to the Land", "Self-Sufficiency" movement is possible, even for a couple of 60+ year old's. I believe that by that definition, the fact that we are as far along as we are is remarkable. Much of the purpose for our video channel is to show others that making this kind of move is very possible. If part of your dream is to make a similar move, we're pulling for you and wish you the very best.
