Day 765 of the Adventure

I am absolutely certain that Daylight Savings Time was invented by someone other than an old person. How do I know this. It's not because of the "savings of daylight" during the Summer (and Spring and Fall I suppose) It's the timing of how the day works out with people my age that makes me think it was the product of a young mind. At sixty-two, soon to be sixty-three, the later the sun comes up and the later it goes away is the problem. In the Summer time it's not so bad. As Fall approaches and the dwindling light in the morning ensues, it's all I can do to just stay in bed waiting for it to get light enough out to get up and get going. It may not seem like much until the time comes to switch back to regular time. Upon the annual "Fall Back" part of Daylight Savings, I find a wonderful thing has happened. The sun is coming up earlier once again. It more closely matches my wake up time, giving me a head start on the day. Plus........ And this is the bigger part of it. As the sun begins to set at 4:30, it signals the time to go to bed and get ready for the next day. (If you have a hard time comprehending that.......... You are probably among the younger folk who would have invented Daylight Savings Time)

Carry On

Adventure Quote:  When told the reason for daylight saving time the old Indian said "Only a white man would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket and sew it to the bottom of a blanket and have a longer blanket."
