Day 839 of the Adventure
Shelley and I had a talk a couple days ago about the direction of our video channels and it dawned on me this morning that many of our friends and follower may have missed something. Since a large part of our activity involves the building of our backwoods home/cabin, it would be easy for Shelley's video efforts to slip through the cracks. Besides the fact that she's the hardest working part of our backwoods creation project, she's also authored a couple of books. Each one is a 90-Day Devotional made up of her personal experiences and Spiritual impressions on life. She is every bit as skilled with God's Word as she is her mini chainsaw you see her with in the picture. The books are entitled "Treasures of Life" and "Treasures of Life 2". Many of you may already have copies of them. What may not be quite so known is that she's recently begun to transpose the daily segments into video format.
These videos take a single day devotion and combine them with her reading the scripture references and the devotional itself. Added to that, is video footage she has captured around the area here that is peaceful and serene. Occasionally it also includes video we've taken on our trips. Most notably, some of the beach, surf and palm trees from the island of Cozumel, Mexico. I'm going to include one of the episodes here (Click Here) so you can get the idea of what she's up to. It's an episode featuring some of the birds around her back yard feeders. (see more of her videos below)
If you have not ordered a copy of her books, there are Amazon links to them in the upper right-hand corner of this page. If you would like her to personalize one for you, you can order one directly from her. Just send an email message to: info@thecampfiretrail.com with your contact information and we'll get it worked out and sent to you. Right now, the two books represent a half year worth of daily devotionals. A third book is underway and I expect it sometime this coming Summer.

Adventure Quote: “There is a reason they call God a presence - because God is right here, right now. In the present is the only place to find Him, and now is the only time.” ―
