February 11 - The Campfire Trail - Relaxing With A Side Of Snow

February 11, 2024

Day 863 of the Adventure

Loading the wood-box before the snow
There's a bite in the air today that has been missing from mornings now for a week or two. I am told by the weather forecasters that a snow is on it's way. It's probably true, but they are also saying they don't expect the temps to drop below 32, day or night, for the duration of it. We'll see. I'm really not too concerned. Today is an indoor day. Not including the few minutes necessary to grab a tractor bucket of wood from the woodshed. The closest I plan to get to the outside is to watch it through the window.

It's Super Bowl day and perhaps even more interesting is the prospect of Caitlin Clark, an Iowa Hawkeye, setting the all-time scoring record for women's NCAA basketball. Both events are on our agenda today, along with the traditional chips with cheese dip and smokies simmered in barbecue sauce. Beyond that, it's feeding the woodstove, drinking coffee and possibly the start of another Clive Cussler book. Relaxing is the word of the day today and I intend to give it my best effort.

Carry On
