Day 900 of the Adventure
By the time we get into the trailing days of March, each and every new sign of spring is a big encouragement. This week we are happy to see the beginning of the Dogwood trees blooming. Dogwoods are native to Missouri but not unique to Missouri. They are recognized as the Missouri State Flower. Another simple sign of Spring and another pleasant thing to see around the property. We have abundant Dogwoods at our place. I would say there are probably over 100 that bloom. A couple dozen of which are full, adult sized trees. As far as small, (too small to bloom yet) there are easily thousands of them on the property. The single bloom in the picture was taken of a tree in our garden area. We have selectively left them around in the garden simply for the pleasure of looking at them. So...... On with the blooming of the Dogwoods!
