After all of the "Springy Talk" you've heard from me this past month, I can actually say it truly is Spring as of today. At least it normally would be Spring today. This year, astronomically speaking, Spring began a little more than a day earlier than normal. I assume it's because February took up an extra day of our time this year. Until this year, I had never even given that a thought as a thing, but I guess it is. There's also a thing called "Meteorological Spring" which is more geared towards the seasonal temperature changes. Personally, I'm also geared more towards the Meteorological Spring temperature changes. Thats why I usually just figure that by the time March gets here, we're close enough.

One more sign is the grass seed we sowed last fall has been growing very well down the hill from the cabin. This, of course, has enticed the deer out of the woods to nibble their way around in it. I tried sneaking out the back door to get this picture of one of them. Since she was only a very short distance away, it was not easy. She (I suppose she was a she) was alerted to my presence almost immediately. The pose lasted only a few seconds before she bounded off back to the cover of the woods. Spring. It's a good time of the year.........
