Day 969 of the Adventure


My favorite garden vegetable is probably tomatoes, if I don't think about it too long. Then I think ocra, and then snow peas, and then....... never mind. We're going with tomatoes. As tomato season arrives, the old Guy Clark song "Home Grown Tomatoes" slips into my mind on a pretty regular basis. The signature line in the song is "The only two things that money can't buy is............." well, maybe if you don't know the rest, you should just listen to it yourself. Here's a link to "Home Grown Tomatoes" performed by some friends and neighbors of ours, The Farnum Family who add their own character to a great feeling song. 

Today, the tomatoes have finally begun peeking out from behind the cages and leaves. Not even marble size yet, it give me hope that I'll soon be partaking in one of the only two things that money can't buy!........
