A Birthday and a Moonlit Night - May 14

Day 1,321 of the Adventure


Today was Adreane's birthday. We are still camped out in the harbor at the Dry Tortugas. Probably be heading back to civilization tomorrow. Or at least back in that general direction. The whole time we've been out, we've had either a full or near full moon to accompany us. Evenings have been spent waiting for the Sharks to bite and watching the moon over the water. Last time we were here two years ago we reeled quite a few sharks up to the boat. This year, we've only gotten the four and five footers to the boat. Everything else has been big enough that they've resisted our best attempts at reeling them in. Oh Well....... We still have amazing moonscapes to enjoy while the evenings linger on out on the ocean.
