BARRACUDA! - May 15

Day 1,322 of the Adventure


Shelley's been on a roll with her fishing. She's scored a number of fish types that she'd never caught before including a Barracuda today. I guess that's the nature of trying out new places and new experiences. This particular one was HUGE. Besides putting up a big fight, I'm not sure if they're much good for anything. I've learned that the bait shop will pay a dollar per pound for barracuda. They sell them to shark fishermen. So, I guess this guy will become shark bait. We estimate his weight at about 40 pounds so there's a little bit of a fuel offset for being out on the water as long as we have.
