The Downhill Run - May 16

Day 1,323 of the Adventure


We're on the downhill side of our business/vacation trip now. We'll still be out for a couple more days but it's definitely getting to feel like it's close to being over. Soon, we'll be back to the backwoods and mostly work. I'll be okay with that. Not that I haven't enjoyed the trip. I slept and just rested most of it while Shelley held up the fishing end of things. I didn't even break out any of the video equipment this time, even though I brought most of it with. We'll be picking up some more fuel and take one more stab at some deep-water fishing today. So far it's been mostly in the 30-80 foot depths. It sounds like today and tonight we'll be in 1,000 ft plus water. I'm told that's where the Mahi-Mahi hang out, along with swordfish. I guess we'll see how that goes. We are now down to the last 40 hour or so of the escape and I can tell that the "home issues" we will need to deal with when we get back are beginning to accumulate.
