Day 1,360 of the Adventure


At sunrise today, we've already begun the slow six-month march towards the shortest day of the year. I always have mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, even though the days will now be getting shorter, technically, the summertime is just beginning. This means a good three months-worth of warmth and generally not much rain. We will welcome that on our house-building site. Also, we'll see progressively more and more late morning and late afternoon shade as well. All of that will help with the construction schedule. The downside is, yep...... the days will be getting shorter, and the inevitable arrival of fall and winter has entered its countdown cycle. Time to make hay while the sun shines!
