Day 1,353 of the Adventure
It's early Sunday morning out on the deck behind the cabin. I'm waiting for the coffee to finish brewing. At the same time, waiting for a drizzle of rain to move in. I hope the coffee gets here first. It is so quiet out here today. I think the threat of weather has the lake empty of boat noise. The high water has the campground down the road flooded out and mostly empty as well. We don't hear the campground, only the traffic to and from it. So no real traffic up the hill on the road. Just nature sounds this morning. The air is still so there's a heavy scent of "damp woods" lingering. Off to my right I can see the basement construction site and it sits quietly, waiting for us to give it some attention. I'm sure plenty of that will happen this coming week. I can't see them, but I can hear what I assume is deer rummaging around in the thick of the woods. It's Sunday morning, I'm surrounded by the sights, sounds and smells of nature and I'm good!
