Day 1,347 of the Adventure
I had to defend my slow block laying pace today. My response was that if I was getting paid a dollar per block, I'd be broke already. Not sure if that was supposed to console me or not, but it didn't. I don't really mind though. It took about three hours to finish up the top course this morning. That was the same work as we were contemplating starting yesterday at 4:30pm. Only yesterday, I was already worn out so I'm sure that whether I started it today or yesterday, I would have probably finished the same time, around 11am today. I told Shelley before we started this whole homestead/off-grid project that I was okay with it if I could work at my own pace. The deal went on to say that if we ever turned it into a full-time job, I'd rather just put it all up for sale and go live in a condo where I didn't have to do anything! So far, so good. The pace is slow, but then again, so am I. Anyway, I finally made it to the top row of blocks for the storm shelter!
