Day 1,362 of the Adventure
Our garden has taken a back seat to the house building project this year and it's been a little obvious. It's just not feeling the love like it did last year. I guess that's okay, it's still doing pretty good without as much attention. Last year we placed a lot of emphasis on getting the garden space carved out of the woods, planted and then tended. It wasn't until very late into the summer that we began to shift our attention to the house construction. We know the garden can be a prolific part of the homestead plan, and it certainly will be that again. This year though......... It's mostly going to have to fend for itself. I was up watering it today around 6am. It was happy for the drink. I did notice that we'll have to pick a bunch of sweet peas. I ate a couple of them while meandering around with the garden hose. It's still a happy place and I look forward to the dozens and dozens of tomatoes that are coming on strong. BLT's are on my radar now!

Adventure Quote: “One of the most important resources that a garden makes available for use, is the gardener's own body. A garden gives the body the dignity of working in its own support. It is a way of rejoining the human race.” ―
