The Welcome Disruption of the Weather - June 7

Day 1,345 of the Adventure


It's the second of a two day stretch of rain. I'm sitting on the back deck between installments of it and simply watching the green jungle of a forest that we have growing all around us. The waterfall is also roaring just a short distance down the hill behind the cabin. I'm beginning to think that is by God's design that He sends us days like this to keep us from feeling that we have to be busy and productive every possible day. At the moment, the sun is so bright I can't see the computer screen for the glare. If I were to believe my eyes, I'd say I need to get to work. If I were to believe the weatherman, I wouldn't know for sure what to believe. If I were to believe the radar on my phone, I'd say I'll be needing to pack myself up and head back into the cabin very shortly. A day, or at least a morning, on the back deck enjoying the sights and sounds of nature is a necessity in our busy lives. I guess if we don't choose it intentionally, the weather will choose it for us.
