Did I Just Forget something? - July 26

Day 1,394 of the Adventure


Pushing past heat today got us past the roofing of the summer kitchen. There's still a little roof left to install over the stairwell, but I think one good morning of work will see that done. maybe tomorrow. We actually planned to be done with this part yesterday and then I realized I'd forgotten to get three vents prepped to cut in. It's all good now though. It's not just the issue of the heat on the body that is a problem. Once the sun gets up and beating down on roof and roofer, the shingles get soft and moving around on them can easily and quickly destroy them. So, our working window is barely three hours each day. That's assuming we get started while it's still slightly dark at 6am.
