Yesterday, we spent a longer than normal day working on the house. We had a pair of helpers that insisted on keeping at it until we had accomplished what seemed to them to be a days-worth of work. That was all great, but by the next morning we couldn't hardly drag ourselves out of bed. When talking to them later, they were the same way! We finally got started today an hour or two later than normal. Then, a couple hours after that, the sun was overhead and we were working in what felt like an oven. We did manage to get a few rafters cut and installed. Each day, the summer kitchen inches its way forward. Soon, there will be an actual roof over it and then whether it's rain or shine, we'll have something we can do either inside or out.
