Starting Another Basement Run - August 5

Day 1,404 of the Adventure


Distractions and other priorities have dominated our schedule for the past month or so. Now, well into August, we're getting refocused on the basement construction. For two days now, we've been running the back wall (or I guess it's the front wall) and our intent is to get it to the four or five feet high range this week. The temperatures are creeping up high again, but the mornings have been beautiful. Shelley told me today that we're getting better at this. I agree. I'm not too sure how good of a thing it is to be saying that you're getting better at something that we'd never want to really ever do again. Oh Well....... At least for this job, we're getting better at it, and faster. Four feet high is six courses of block. Give us about to the end of the week with no rain and I think we'll have it!
