I awoke this morning to an outdoor temperature of 60 degrees. While it was refreshing, it also scared me just a little. IT'S AUGUST 2nd. Something's just not right about sitting on the deck in early August, drinking coffee while wearing a hoodie and a hat just to be able to enjoy the morning. Did I mention that it's August 2nd? Now I have no doubt that we'll see 80's or close to it later today but this gives me vibes of late September, and I am NOT ready for that! I'm sure that it's just a week-long passing of a cool front. No respectful August will ever give us this much cool pleasure without returning us to the 90 and 100 degree heat that it's known for. I can breathe in the coolness for a few mornings without true complaint and actually soak it up like the special treat that it is. Here's to the temporary taste of autumn!
