This Confused Me - July 31

 July 31, 2025

Day 1,399 of the Adventure

Many things around here give me pause and cause me to wonder what I'm looking at. Today, another such event had me stumped. A weed appeared on the wood stove. A dried one that I didn't recognize at first. It resembled what I refer to as "chigger weed" but I could not imagine what a chigger weed would be doing in the house, or who would have put it there. Who was pretty obvious. It had to be Shelley since she's the only other person that's had access to the cabin. Why is the big question. It was dried out like it had been picked some time ago. As I was taking a picture of it, she saw me and asked why I was photographing her sprig of dill. DILL........ That's what it was. It all makes sense now. We were preparing to can up some pickles and dill would have been necessary. Still. it doesn't take much to confuse me and this did the trick! An odd mystery solved!
