Day 48 - 317 Days to go
12 Days until March 1
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek ( Colombian)
I sat in the dark (mostly) this morning by the fire with a cup of coffee, watching the Weather Channel. We are in the final hours of our latest "Winter Weather Advisory" and now being threatened with yet another one in a couple of days. I'm noticing that so far, we've missed almost all of it this winter. What really stood out was the amount of snow that's been pounding everything to the North of us. Each passing storm brings us a combination of rain, a bit of sleet and small amounts of ice. But by the next day, it's gone. Even today as it's only just now getting light out, the temperature is 34 degrees. Pretty tough for Winter Weather to square up and take a serious shot at us. That's okay and I'm not intending to jinx us with my observations. I'm just saying that there are only 12 days left until March first and every day that goes by, Winter loses another day to harass us in the race for Spring.

We've had a number of fishermen staying here this weekend and I haven't seen much of them. I suppose they are either out on the lake or possibly at some nearby pub. (I'm not even sure if they're the "Pub Type". Nevertheless, they're here and I know they drove up from deep the south to do some winter Trout fishing. Maybe I'll get a chance to visit with them before they head home.
I believe today will be a "Work from Home" day...…… (Translation: watch a movie and take a nap)
