Day 88 - 277 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Trail (Guatemala)
The trees on the other side of the lake started "puffing" out today. (I suppose the ones on this side of the lake did too, the other side is more noticeable than this side, at least from this side) Personally, I can't get enough of the start of Spring. I don't enjoy being out in the cold months and 70 degree days and 50 degree nights make me feel like I can breathe again.
We had rainstorms to dodge today. The first one came up kind of quick and it was comical to see all of the boats racing towards the ramp at the same time. From where I was sitting...…. They all got wet. But that's part of the adventure too.

The Last Resort Project:
I spent most of the day working on Cabin 6 at The Last Resort again today. Up until the rain hit. I basically spent the afternoon dodging rainstorms and politicians. JUST KIDDING REX! The mayor of Rockaway Beach stopped by today and checked on the progress. He's been working diligently at trying to get a burned house in the neighborhood dealt with and had an update for me. Since everything I was doing was outside work, I cam home and tried to take a nap during the storm. The phone made sure that didn't work out the way I planned. I did manage to get the second bay window frame built and the window in. I still need to get the rest of the siding and roofs on them but that shouldn't take long. At least if the rain holds off for a while tomorrow and I'm not over-run at the tackle shop. By the way. that wimpy little front step is going away soon too and will be replaced with a larger one with a new roof over it. I've been enjoying the fireplace on the inside during the cooler part of the morning. I forgot how much I missed a real fireplace.
