Day 87 - 278 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Fog (because that's how I feel at 8:30pm after finally finishing the day)
I noticed early this morning (6am) that the rain due today was now gone from the forecast. This prompted me to decide that I needed to pick up supplies for The Last Resort that needed to be done outside. I called up the Home Depot website to figure out when they opened so I could get an early start. To my dismay, they were already open. I decided then and there that I was not quite ready to get started after all. I tried to sleep for a few more minutes. That didn't work either so I finally just went got up and got started.
The day really was a "Last Resort" Day. Cabin 6 specifically. It is the 2nd largest structure on the property with only the house being larger. It was still full of stuff and needed quite a few repairs. We got the contents removed, cleaned the kitchen and started replacing the front windows. The cabin had the traditional (Uninviting Box) look and shape with almost nothing for curb appeal to it. Since the front windows needed so much repair, we decided to simply replace them entirely and bump them out as bay windows in the process. Once the new front porch and porch canopy is complete, the front will look entirely different.
“You do not have to know which path you must take. That's not how life works. You simply must be curious and daring enough to take a step into the unknown. That's how you come to know.”
