Day 67 - 298 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Caramel Apple (Fall Seasonal Flavor, but good any time of the year)
I had been planning to work The Last Resort Project all week. This creates a bit of a problem when the weather starts improving. I can't be at the tackle shop and up at the cabins at the same time. My solution is a low tech one but seems to work okay. At least it did today. being only about one minute away at The Last Resort it's almost as quick as it is to run out from the back office at the house. The first call I got was for a Propane fill up. The next was from my new contact with the Branson Jet boat. (it's a tourist ride that comes out of the Branson area every day during the tourist season. Not everyone is happy they are here but they've been a good fuel customer of ours so we have a good working relationship with them) Then was a customer wanting to stock up on some tackle. So, small time and small town solutions seem to be just fine.
Rain and warmer weather is in the forecast for most of the week. The fish don't mind the rain and most of the fishermen don't either. I expect the weekend to be fairly busy around the lake resort.

The Last Resort Project:
By lunch time I finally managed to get the pine panel ceiling finished up in the house at The Last Resort. It looks really nice and will make the "tacky" part of the kitchen very respectable. Unfortunately, some of the original pine paneling has been painted and there's not much that can be done about that. Our solution will be to prep those areas for paint again but do a better job with color selection and trimming to give those parts a clean and crisp look.
“It’s a big world and there are so many things to do. Why should we repeat the same thing? Of course, there are some people who are getting better and better in one direction. But I love continuous experiments and adventure, and to learn and grow from that.”
