Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost in the Woods (Costa Rica/Colombia blend)
The adventure today included touring the island of Cozumel Mexico in a convertible. When I say convertible, I mean that it had no top to it. I'm not sure the car began it's life as a convertible...… But hey....It's Mexico. Same rules don't apply! LOL Cozumel is kind of a scrubby little reef/jungle island with beautiful water. The first time we were there we rented a Jeep and took off around the island. We were half way around it before I realized that I could not read most of the road signs. They assured us at the car rental place that we could not get lost, and mostly we didn't.
Part of the day included swimming, snorkeling and food by the beach. I guess you know you're in another world when peacocks are wandering through the restaurant looking for hand-outs. We also stopped by some Mayan ruins. I guess that's not really something we can replicate back home. Although I suppose we could find some kind of ruins to make interesting. (The Last Resort comes to mind)
The Last Resort Project:
Speaking of the Last Resort, When we get back, we will begin getting a "For Sale" listing ready for it. It will include the 3 bedroom, 2 bath house with seven cabins and a large pool. Two of the cabins will need rebuilt or replaced, One is gutted out in preparation for a rehab, the other is probably beyond any useful purpose other than storage. But several of the cabins are income producing (or will soon be)
