Day 99 - 266 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost on the Lake (Sumatra/Colombia blend)
Lost at Sea could easily be another Base Camp coffee flavor. For all practical purposes, I am lost at sea today and happy to be that way. I know that I'm somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico. I'm confident that someone, and probably many more than just one, knows exactly where we are. (Jamaican accent needed) "So I'm not worried Mon!"
I got a full week behind on the Resort Adventure postings but was actually keeping up with them by pen and paper the whole time. The pic to the right was 10 stories above the waterline with some of the ships coffee. Notice the empty chairs, (I saved a couple for you but they just stayed empty) The first full day of cruising where we go is always a "Day at Sea". This means you can eat, watch a show, play somewhere on the deck or below the deck with any number of fun activities. I planned to find a nice deck chair and catch up on some sleep. That worked out just fine.
Can a cruise be technically part of a "Resort Adventure"? I'd say yes for a couple reasons. For us, its part of the relaxing part of life away from the actual resorts but still part of the experience. It's also a place where we attempt to find inspiration of how we can improve the experience back home. For example, a couple years ago we ran across a color scheme we really liked around a pool area and ended up bringing the idea home with us. You can see in the picture the difference between the new color and the drab swimming pool blue color that's been here for ever. So Yes, the adventure extends beyond the resorts!
