Day 176 - 189 Days to go
Base Camp Coffee of the Day: Lost up the Creek (Colombian)
There are very few things that send me into a panic. One is if we accidentally double book anything, room, cabin or boat and that happens very, very few times. Maybe three times in eight years. One of the other things is when we are down to two boat keys and one of them gets broken. That happens more often. So far, we have only broken our last boat key once and that was once to many. Fortunately, I was the one that broke it and it happened right in the marina so it didn't leave anyone stranded. However, there have been several occasions where the second to last key got broken and we've had to rescue a customer. (since we keep the "last key" in the office) The bad part is when that happens, we are down to the last key and that makes me panic just a little. My internal "Key Policy" has always been "Keep three keys for each boat on hand at all times." But in the hustle and bustle of the business, my three key rule doesn't always hold up. So now my new "Key Rule" is four keys at all times. As of today, I'm now up to four keys per boat and a key reference guide hanging in my office to transpose old, obsolete key numbers with current valid key numbers. I think I may even have four keys to boats I don't own anymore!
The Key to Marina Success...……… Keep plenty of Keys on hand at all times!

The Last Resort Project: Since I was busy away from the resorts today, I let the guys do their own thing and I'm sure none of it included the Last Resort.
